Beginning Sewing Class - Apron
Have you ever wanted to start sewing and needed some direction? This is the class for absolute beginners who want to get started sewing items for themselves and their family.
To take this class, you must have your own sewing machine and know how to use it. Please make sure that you can wind your bobbin, thread your machine and sew a straight line. If you need help setting up your machine, bring it by the shop BEFORE CLASS. Practice on extra fabric with your machine. I don't want you to start falling behind in class and I will not have much time to help you out.
The first meeting, on Thursday night, is where you will find out exactly what you need. We will discuss what kind of fabric and notions will be best for the apron. This meeting is where you will start to learn to read a pattern and buy supplies. You will have two weeks to gather your supplies.
The apron pattern was fun and easy to make. It is an excellent place to start.
Sign up quickly, there are only four spots.
If the class is full when you read this, call the shop to be put on the waiting list. If popular, we will reschedule more classes to accommodate everyone.
Thanks, Jamie Gunnink
