Smorblomme Sweater - Fair Isle Class
Join us to knit a Fair Isle Sweater. it is called the Smorblomme Sweater and is available for purchase on Ravelry. The sweater is made in two colors. Changing the colors will make the sweater feminine, masculine, or neutral. Worsted weight yarn is required in two contrasting colors. Suggestions for yarn are: Encore worsted, Malabrigo Rios, Falklands Worsted, and Madelinetosh.
Your will need a US 6 needle for the body (24 or 32 inches), a US4 for the rib (16" circular) and US7 (24") for the stranded yoke.
Basic skills including knitting, purling, increasing, casting on, and binding off are required. You will learn several ways to hold your yarn and make your floats loose enough. You will also learn to catch your floats when required.
If this class fills up, please call the shop at 219-924-7333. We might increase the amount of students. We may also take names for a waiting list in case someone needs to bow out of the class.
